A common dental procedure, performed with local anesthetic, are fillings. When our teeth become damaged by tooth decay, a dentist will utilize filling material in order to restore the tooth back to its original shape and function. Dental inlays & onlays used in a number of ways. Inlays are used to repair teeth that have other options such as fillings. On the flip side,are considered to be indirect fillings that provide patients with a study, well-fitted and longer lasting option to repair things such as structural damage or tooth decay. The onlay in created in a lab and bonded to the damaged tooth once it has been fitted to your liking.
In some cases, these are permanent but in cases where more dental work is needed they may be a temporary fix until the tooth can be properly repaired.
